This online Leadership certificate prepares individuals to serve in leadership or mentoring roles within organizations. Completion of this certificate is an ideal way to update a previously completed degree or to enter a new degree program. If you decide to pursue a master's or doctoral degree at Capella University, the certificate credits may be applicable toward your degree, depending on the program you select.

University-sponsored certificates represent an advanced course of study in a specific discipline which is intended to enhance knowledge. However, obtaining a university-awarded certificate is not equivalent to "certification." The term certification refers to the official mandate awarded by a state regulatory board or professional organization to an individual for a specific professional practice.
