PhD in IT with Information Assurance and Security is a great option

August 31, 2011Kevin As a professional with more than 30 years of work experience in IT and information security and assurance I have found my program at Capella to be an excellent investment in myself and my career. I am about to move into the dissertation phase and could not be more excited about that process, and ultimately what the PhD will do for me in this exploding field.

PhD Workload

December 7, 2011Juan I understand you can take up to 3 courses per quarter, but I wonder how much effort (in terms of man-hours a week for example) would it take to take this level of workload. How many courses is recommended to take? taking only one course per quarter will make your degree last almost 8 years which is too much money and time, and maybe not even allowed by the school. Regards, JC

Not recommended

July 15, 2011Mark I would not recommend this program they charge you for 2 courses even if you only take 1 what a ripoff plus the diploma is really . look at the financial requirements you have to pay for 2 courses even if you can only take 1 course semester.
