Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in School Psychology

Make an impact on the well-being of young people and help meet the growing need for advanced-practice school psychologists. Aligned with national curriculum standards for school psychology, this rigorous program is the first and only school psychology PsyD program offered online. Through online course work, graduate teaching opportunities, and practicum and internship field experiences, you'll develop proficiencies in consultation, supervision, evaluation, research and planning, ethics, and intervention and prevention strategies. Through interaction with instructors, each of whom is a licensed school psychologist with years of frontline experience and a doctoral degree, you'll gain real-world insight and benefit from valuable mentoring. People who choose this program are typically pursuing supervisory careers within school psychology; higher education faculty positions; consulting roles; or leadership roles in P–12 school systems and higher education.
Practicum and Internship Requirements: Minimum of 400 hours for practicum and 1,500 hours for internship.

Residency requirements: School Psychology Graduate Teaching Instructor Training
- Learn about the residency experience.
- In addition to your online courses, you will assist faculty members in teaching MS and Specialist Certificate in School Psychology residencies for a total of 6 weeks over the course of 3 years. Each residency is 55 hours; you will earn a total of 330 hours of face-to-face residency teaching experience.

The price for each residency is $1,495. This does not include costs for evening meals or travel. You'll be responsible for making your hotel reservations and travel arrangements.
