Play Therapy Certificate

Enrollment in this certificate program requires a master's degree in counseling or psychology from an institution accredited by a U.S. Department of Education-recognized accrediting agency or an internationally recognized institution.

Play Therapy Certificate

May 13, 2011Patty I am currently enrolled in a Master's Degree program at Liberty University. Is it possible to also be enrolled in this program at Capella at the same time? I am working with young children and plan on continuing to do so. LU does not offer this certificate and I thing it would be an excellent addition to my degree.

Live Sessions

September 1, 2011Venita I wanted to ask a question about the live sessions in response to one of the other posts. I saw the following post... "We do meet the criteria for all 150 as were live sessions each week in 4 of the 5 courses that are a required part of the program." Do the live sessions require you to be present and online at a particular time or are they recorded and available for playback at another time? I am not sure how that works. I work full-time and would like to sign up for the certificate program but want to make sure that I will be able to fulfill all of the course requirements. Can anyone help me with this?

Play Therapy Requirements

January 25, 2012Miche'l PSY5250 - Play Therapy Supervision Practices....is this a class or an actual practicum or internship? Is there any sort of internship required with this program and if so how may hours? I am somewhat interested and already hold an MS. I just do not want to have to dedicate time to a practicum.

April 30, 2011Ann I will complete my MS in Mental Health Counseling with Capella this quarter, Spring 2011. What is the difference in the course schedule between a 4 credit course and the 5 credit courses in this certificate program? Are the 5 credit courses 10 weeks? What does the time requirement look like? I have only taken 4 credit courses. Thank you, Ann Tompkins
