Information Assurance and Security specialization

Information systems play an important role in the infrastructure that supports commerce, banking, telecommunications, health care, and national security, driving the need for qualified informational assurance and security specialists. New financial and health care regulations related to privacy and security, along with a growing move to more vulnerable wireless systems, have also increased the importance of these skills. This Information Assurance and Security bachelor's specialization is designed to help you acquire and apply the latest tools, techniques, and methods of securing an enterprise, while building the business and communication skills you need to influence internal decision making and enhance organizational effectiveness.

Don't relearn what you already know. I am not good at math

November 25, 2010Gregory My interest major is Information Assurance and Security, however I am terrible at math and this major requires Discrete Mathematics. I don't want to start this program and then fail because of math...this is why I haven't enrolled. Any advice?

Discrete Mathematics

April 20, 2011Peter Discrete Mathematics sounds much harder than it really is. There is a reason why it's only a 2000 level class. I took this class about a year ago, and I had a challenging, but not insurmountable experience. I highly recommend this course, and my advice is to not worry about this class. It is passable, it's not anywhere close in difficulty compared to the calculus I took in High School. Peter

What does this get you?

January 25, 2011Bob With this degree, what jobs are we looking at for the recent graduate? Can you get the SSCP or CISSP upon completion?
