Capella BS IT with a Project Management Concentration

November 23, 2010Jack I attended Capella from August 2002 to March 2006 earning my BSIT. At the time I was an IT professional with over 25 years in the business and working for some major financial services players. Getting my Bachelor's was about unfinished business and personal satisfaction..not about preparing me for another field. The program worked for me from that perspective...I was able to attend and participate on my schedule and still had time to prepare quality deliverables as needed. On the other hand Capella, at the time, had its shortcomings. I had a few instructors who were MIA for the course...letting it run on autopilot on the backs of its students. I had a few instructors who were not very competent either...didn't believe they had the technical background (or had been properly screened) to teach the courses. Half my instructors were competent industry pros. Mid-term and end-term surveys were never actioned..mixed quality instructors kept getting assigned.

Capella - Ivy League - The Most Prestigious University

November 23, 2010Johnette I became a Capella Ambassador because I believe in the caliber of the education I received. As a Professional Program Manager, Genealogist, member of the most family family in education; historically speaking, I hope to be the 1st in history to received my BS, MS and Ph.D. from the most prestigious online university in the country. Capella is highly recognized by hiring managers around the world. It is an honor to be associated with this institution.
